Goodbye American Apparel??

American Apparel is:

- Bright Cotton Basics
- Awesome Leggings
- Hipsters favorite store
- Sexy advertising
- A must
- 80´s fashion love

Is as well:

- An over rated brand
- An industrial revolution
- So basic that can be found in supermarkets
- Of low quality
- Sexual harassment lawsuits against Dov Charney

The point of talking about American Apparel is because it has been recently in all news and articles because of its financial situation, it seems that AA is not just a cool brand that makes cool whoever wears it, it has a £77million debt and fears it may not last the next 12 months.
Here in México city there are some rumors about our only store closing its doors soon.

Apparently their solution is changing a bit the image of AA, heading it into another target: "preppy people" the brand will be into sophisticated garments such as blazers, pleated pants, button-down shirts, and more formal lace tops.

Dov Charney (founder and CEO, Chief Executive Officer of AA) just killed all hipsters by saying: "Hipsters are from a certain time period, the stereotype of a hipster is not something people aspire to anymore. Do you want to be a hipster? Nobody wants to be a hipster,"
But...
What about those lace thong leotards?
"Lace thong leotards are not necessarily hipster."
Neon spandex stuff?
"Neon comes and goes. It could be preppy too."
Mr. Charney explained, for The Village Voice.
For me is a store were I want to buy everything but can´t because of the ridiculous high prices however there are some special items that I believe are unique and will be missed if AA closes:

3-D Flower Mesh Jumper Polyester/ Solid Thigh-High Sock/Nylon Tricot Figure Skater Dress/ Nylon Tricot Legging

What do you think could be the solution? Does it need a solution? or its better for it to vanish...
I still have my doubts..
